Jagna: Bohol's Southern Ferry Gateway

Jagna sits on Bohol’s southeastern coast, about 66 kilometres from Tagbilaran, where the land meets the Mindanao Sea in a run of rocky promontories and short river mouths. The town is the island’s main southern sea gateway after Tagbilaran itself: ferries from Cagayan de Oro, Nasipit, and other Mindanao ports call at Jagna’s wharf, giving it a more commercial, transit-driven character than most Bohol municipalities of its size. Beyond the port, Jagna keeps a compact Spanish colonial centre, an active public market, and road access to Can-umantad and Mag-aso Falls in the interior highlands — two of Bohol’s more substantial waterfalls.
