Overview

Inabanga Cultural and Creative Park is an open-air park in Poblacion, Inabanga, built around murals and visual-art installations distributed across the grounds, with a children’s playground alongside. Inabanga is accessible from Tagbilaran City by bus or van (approximately 1.5–2 hours north via the Trans-Central Highway or coastal road). From Talibon (north coast), Inabanga is roughly 30 minutes by jeepney. The park is in Poblacion, walkable from the bus terminal and church.

The park functions less as a single destination than as a stop within Poblacion’s walkable core — it sits close enough to St. Paul the Apostle Parish, one of northern Bohol’s heritage churches, that most visitors combine the two in one visit. The murals draw a steady stream of casual photographers, while the playground keeps it a genuine neighbourhood space rather than a tourist-only installation. During the Inabanga fiesta and Christmas period, food stalls turn the same grounds into a gathering point for the wider municipality.

Inabanga’s stronger claim to a distinct identity is raffia weaving — more than 1,000 residents across the municipality’s roughly 50 barangays weave the craft at home between farming and fishing seasons, an industry formalised annually in the Raffia Festival’s street-dancing procession through the same Poblacion streets the park sits within. Whether the park’s own murals reference that weaving tradition directly isn’t documented in available sources, but the park’s location places it inside the same small civic core — church, market, park, main street — that hosts the festival each year, rather than off on its own at the edge of town.
