Cathedral of San Jose (St. Joseph the Worker)

The Cathedral of Saint Joseph the Worker on Carlos P. Garcia Avenue is the seat of the Diocese of Bohol and the mother church of the province. The parish is one of the first six founded by the Jesuits in 1595; St. Joseph was enthroned as patron in 1767. The original Jesuit church was razed in 1798 and rebuilt 1839–1855, with the bell tower added 1854–1888. Heavy 20th-century renovations changed the façade and destroyed the original frescoes, though 18th-century Baroque side altars and historic images survive.

Panglao Watchtower and San Agustin Parish Church Complex

The San Agustin Parish Church complex in Panglao Poblacion contains two distinct heritage structures: the Panglao Watchtower (1851) — a five-storey hexagonal coral-stone tower designated a National Cultural Treasure by the National Museum of the Philippines and widely considered the tallest Spanish-era military watchtower in the Philippines — and the St. Augustine Parish Church (constructed 1894 to early 20th century), notable for ceiling murals depicting the Seven Sacraments and the ruins of an earlier 19th-century church on the same grounds.

Talibon Cathedral

The Most Holy Trinity Cathedral stands at Poblacion, Talibon, fronting the municipal hall. Built of coral rock hauled from the sea on a plain overlooking the water, the permanent cathedral was constructed between 1852 and 1899. By local tradition recorded by Fr. José María Luengo, Talibon's Christianisation began before Legazpi (1565), when survivors of the 1521 Cebu massacre — the crew of the galleon Trinidad — fled here, married natives, and dedicated the place to the Santísima Trinidad, making Talibon a claimed 'cradle of Christianity in Bohol'.

Blood Compact Shrine (Sandugo)

The Blood Compact Shrine in barangay Bool, Tagbilaran, commemorates the Sandugo of March 1565 — the blood compact between Datu Sikatuna and Miguel López de Legazpi, often called the first treaty of friendship between Filipinos and Spaniards. The bronze monument is a standard stop on Bohol countryside tours.

Inday Potenciana Chapel

The chapel is located beside the town's cemetery, about 2 kilometers from the town proper. People or "devotees" of Inday Potenciana come to this chapel to pay their respects, offer prayers and ask for special favors which many attest to have been granted.
