Type: Sports and Recreational Facilities
Overview
Motu de Lorenzo Nature Park is a park in Barangay Laca, Jagna, Bohol, listed in the provincial tourist-attraction inventory under Sports and Recreational Facilities.
As of a 2020 report, the area adjacent to the park was being developed as a paragliding site by a Chinese-invested firm, Han Yi Travel Corp (represented by Yongming Han), under a signed 25-year lease. Two launch parcels were identified — 11,663 square meters and 3,830 square meters — with plans for what organizers described as the first international paragliding tournament in the Philippines. Foreign capital financing an adventure-tourism venture in Jagna’s uplands is not new territory for the municipality: Jagna was one of Bohol’s busier 19th- and early 20th-century ports, shipping copra and abaca out to Cebu and beyond, and its economy has leaned on outside trade and investment since. At the time of the 2020 report the paragliding site had not yet opened to the public. [TO ENRICH: current operational status, whether the paragliding site has since opened, current park facilities]

What to Expect
A nature park in the inland barangay of Laca, in hilly terrain cut by small river systems typical of Jagna’s interior. Notes
[FACT NEEDED: park-specific facilities, trails, and natural features beyond the adjacent paragliding development still require enrichment.]
