Bohol's international/domestic airport (IATA: TAG, ICAO: RPSP), in Barangay Tawala, Panglao Island — opened November 2018, replacing the old Tagbilaran City airport. Marketed as the Philippines' first eco-airport (undulating Chocolate Hills-inspired roof, solar power, natural ventilation). Overview

Bohol-Panglao International Airport (IATA: TAG, ICAO: RPSP) opened 27–28 November 2018 on Panglao Island, replacing the old Tagbilaran City Airport (now closed to commercial aviation, being redeveloped as a business park).

The terminal features an undulating roof designed to evoke Bohol’s Chocolate Hills, incorporating solar power and passive natural ventilation — marketed as the Philippines’ first eco-airport.

Concessionaire: As of December 2024, the airport operates under a 30-year public-private partnership concession with Aboitiz InfraCapital (AIC), which replaced the previous GMR Megawide arrangement. All operational and expansion planning is now under AIC.

Critical arrival notes

⚠️ No ATMs inside the terminal: there are no functional ATMs past the security checkpoint or in the arrivals area. Withdraw sufficient Philippine Pesos (PHP) in Manila, Cebu, or Tagbilaran City before travelling to Panglao’s resort areas.

⚠️ No Grab / ride-hailing: GrabCar and GrabTaxi are not available on Panglao Island or in Bohol province. Pre-arrange airport transfers through your resort, or use fixed-rate registered tourist transport vans at the arrivals terminal.
