Overview

Alturas Mall - Talibon is the Talibon branch of the Alturas Group, a Bohol-based retail and commercial development company. The mall is located in Poblacion, Talibon, the commercial centre of the municipality, near the Talibon Public Market, the municipal and church complex, and the Talibon Baywalk. Talibon is the main commercial town of northern Bohol and the primary hub for the municipalities in the island’s north.

The Alturas Group also operates Alturas Mall in Tagbilaran City (plus Alta Citta and Island City Mall in Tagbilaran, and a branch in Tubigon). The Talibon branch serves a catchment covering the northern municipalities, providing retail, grocery, and commercial services to a population that would otherwise travel south to Tagbilaran for comparable facilities. It is officially described by the operator as “the first major shopping center in the northern part of Bohol.”

The Alturas Group of Companies traces its roots to a single sari-sari store started in 1972 by the Uy family, later formalized as Alturas Supermarket Corporation in 1985; it expanded into a full mall format in 2004 in Tagbilaran and now includes retail, agriculture, food, hospitality, and commercial divisions. The Talibon branch opened in 2003 — confirmed by a 2016 anniversary article marking its 13th year of operation.
