Overview

Sikatuna Mirror of the World and Botanical Garden is a themed open-air park in Barangay Libjo, Sikatuna, built around miniature replicas of landmark structures from around the world — among them the Eiffel Tower, the Statue of Liberty, Christ the Redeemer, the Sydney Opera House, and Tower Bridge.

The park runs both day and night hours. After dark, the replicas are lit, giving the same walkthrough a different character than the daytime visit. A botanical garden runs alongside the model landmarks, adding a living plant collection to the built one.

Parks of this kind — a scattering of miniature world landmarks set inside a garden — have become a recognisable format across the Philippine countryside tourism circuit over the past decade, giving inland towns with no beach, cave, or heritage church of their own a self-contained, photo-driven attraction that does not depend on any single natural feature. Sikatuna’s version pairs the model landmarks with a working botanical garden rather than a bare concrete lot, which gives the site some function as green space even for a visitor with no interest in the replicas themselves.

Economic context. Sikatuna’s tourism economy is thin and mostly incidental — travellers pass through on the way to Corella’s tarsier-conservation area or stop briefly for the blacksmith workshop — so a paid-entry attraction like this one gives the barangay a small, direct revenue stream that does not compete with agriculture for land or water. At ₱120–170 per visitor, the economics depend on volume rather than a high per-head margin, which is typical of family- or barangay-run countryside attractions across Bohol’s interior.

Getting There

From Tagbilaran City, travel north along the Carmen highway, then branch toward Sikatuna — approximately 30–40 km by road. Hire a motorcycle (habal-habal) or use a private vehicle. What to Expect

An open-air walkthrough with scale models of global landmarks spaced across the grounds and the botanical garden providing shade and greenery between them. The park draws families and school groups, and photography is the main activity — the day and night formats give distinctly different compositions of the same models.

A full walkthrough, including stops at each landmark for photos, generally takes 45 minutes to an hour; the botanical garden adds shaded walking paths between the model stops rather than a separate destination in itself. Because the site reads differently after dark, when the replicas are lit, some visitors choose to time a Sikatuna day loop so this is the last stop before heading back toward Tagbilaran or Corella — arriving in late afternoon and staying through the switch to night lighting rather than visiting purely in daylight.
