Overview

ShipHaus, in Barangay Poblacion Norte, Batuan, is a novelty attraction built to resemble a ship from the outside, with a nautical-themed interior fitted with simulators. It runs as three things at once: themed attraction, souvenir shop, and inn.

The visit follows a set format. Guests enter the ship-shaped building, explore the nautical interior, and get the option to wear a marine uniform top and cap for photos. Printed copies are available for purchase at the end of the tour. A minimal entrance fee is charged, inclusive of a drink — juice or coffee.

The accommodation component means overnight stays are possible, an unusual combination for a roadside novelty stop along the Bohol tourist circuit.

Getting There

Batuan is served by regular bus and jeepney routes from Tagbilaran City’s integrated terminal. Travel time is approximately 1–1.5 hours. Tour vans on the Bohol countryside circuit also pass through Batuan. ShipHaus in Poblacion Norte is accessible from the main road.
